About MYBIOME

Gut microbiota analysis service
MYBIOME

This is a custom-tailored service that allows you to monitor your gut microbiota by analyzing the ratio between key useful and
harmful bacteria based on DNA extracted from fecal.

  1. Apply for gut microbiota
    analysis

  2. Receive fecal sampling kit

  3. Collect and send the sample

  4. Check gut microbiota
    analysis results

Objective and standardized data are required to provide accurate gut microbiota analysis. For this purpose, BioEleven's R & D institute
has accumulated scientifically analyzed data over the years, thus laying the foundation for big data analysis of intestinal environments.

MYBIOME Premium + 4types

* MYBIOME Baby is a service that monitors the composition of beneficial and opportunistic infectious bacteria in infants (under 12 months)
and compares and analyzes them based on the average value for babies of the same age.

* MYBIOME Premium is available to hospitals only.

What are the beneficial bacteria index and opportunistic infectious bacteria index?

This is an index reflecting the distribution of the representative beneficial bacteria Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus and the
opportunistic infectious bacteria Proteobacteria in the gut.

  • Bifidobacterium
    Bifidobacterium

    Representative beneficial intestinal
    bacteria, inhibits the penetration and
    growth of harmful bacteria.

  • Lactobacillus
    Lactobacillus

Beneficial bacteria that help the growth
of other beneficial bacteria, the formation
    of antibacterial substances,
    and the strengthening of immunity.

  • Proteobacteria
    Proteobacteria

    Representative opportunistic
    infectious bacteria,
    an indicator of intestinal
    environmental imbalance.

MYBIOME is recommended for the following people
  • People with sensitive intestines

Beneficial intestinal bacteria prevent the invasion of harmful bacteria and help with
the digestion and absorption of food. Reduction of beneficial intestinal bacteria is known
to have a negative effect on digestion and cause intestinal problems, which is why
it is important to monitor the composition of the intestinal bacteria.

  • Mothers and prospective mothers

Every child is affected by the mother's vaginal and intestinal bacteria composition.
Therefore, it is important to understand the mother's intestinal bacterial
composition to ensure a balanced Intestinal environment for the infant.

  • Infants (under 1 year)

The role of intestinal beneficial bacteria goes beyond intestinal health and includes also
the formation of the immune system. In particular, commensal bacteria,
which will determine the baby's lifetime health, are formed within the first year of life,
so the analysis of intestinal bacteria during this period is very important.

  • People with Weight problems

Science has proven that the composition of intestinal bacteria is associated with obesity.
It is important to identify and balance the composition of the bacteria because it affects
    the metabolism and absorption rates.

  • People with immunity dysfunction & frequent skin problems

Since the imbalance of the intestinal bacterial flora is closely related to the deterioration of
immune system function, including skin problems, it is advisable to monitor the intestinal
    environment on a regular basis.

  • People who lack exercise or eat irregularly

The intestinal function of modern people, suffering from irregular eating, lack of exercise,
and stress, is prone to deterioration.
Beneficial bacteria help with the digestion and absorption of food and play an important
role in the functioning of the immune system, therefore it is very important to analyze
the intestinal bacteria to determine the number of beneficial bacteria.

Analysis process
  1. Store the fecal sample in
    a freezer

  2. Extract DNA

  3. Real-time qPCR

  4. Analysis complete(Within 2 weeks from the day of sample delivery)

  1. ① Stable extraction of DNA after storing fecal sample in freezer (-80 degrees)
  2. ② DNA purity and concentration measurement using spectrophotometry
  3. ③ Data detection/quantification after DNA amplification (real-time DNA amplification technique, qPCR)
  4. ④ Check and summarize the resulting value based on the accumulated database

* The service was confirmed by the Health and Welfare Policy Division, Ministry of Health and Welfare to verify
the composition of beneficial and opportunistic infectious bacteria and not as a medical act corresponding to
the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. It is not related to the food supplements sold on the website and constitutes a separate service.

Checking analysis results

Based on the Korean intestinal bacterial composition database accumulated by BioEleven's R&D institute, presented as a percentage value and
may be different from the previous results due to the periodic updates to the R&D institute's cumulative data.
